South Redford Partners with Botsford Hospital
South Redford School District's partnership with Botsford Hospital has provided information, activities and programs that support Healthy Lifestyles.

Botsford Hospital holds an annual event called, Project Healthy Living, which is a free and low cost screening clinic offered to help the uninsured and under-insured. Services offered are height and weight, blood pressure, vision, hearing, blood panel and other more specific blood test.

Last year,  Madonna University nursing students collaborated with South Redford District nurse, Terri Czewinski to design and implement a Health Fair for staff. The event was held at Thurston High School and provided a wealth of information for staff members, including testing for cholesterol, blood pressure, and more.

Attendance at the Health Fair was phenomenal, participants were delighted to hear Registered Dietitian, and nutrition leader, Zonya Foco. Zonya spoke on healthy lifestyles and presented her latest cookbook, "Lickety-Split Meals."  See Zonya's web site: http://www.Zonya.com

Students from Dietitian students from U of M also participated in the event. See www.med.umich.edu/mfit for information.
