 Tom Burnosky Resigns from Board of Education
At the Regular Board of Education meeting held Monday, April 14, Cheryl Flesher, Board Treasurer read a letter of resignation from Board of Education Trustee, Tom Burnosky. The Board vacancy shall be filled from among registered school electors of the South Redford School District by a majority vote of the remaining Board members.  Residents of South Redford are notified of the following Board vacancy and the application process. Notice of Special Board of Education Meeting 
Monday, April 28, 2008  6:30 p.m.  in the Board Office
Persons interested in appointment to this position are invited to submit a background résumé to the Board office located in the Jan W. Jacobs Educational Services Center, 26141 Schoolcraft Road, no later than 4:00 p.m. Thursday, April 24, 2008.  Applicants are then asked to appear at a special Board meeting to be held on Monday, April 28, 2008 at 6:30 p.m., at the Jan W. Jacobs Educational Services Center, at which time the appointee will be selected.  Call the Board office at 535-4000 ext. 1012 and ask to be referred to the Board President for further information.

Dr. William F. Weber Performing Arts Center
Parents, guardians and students are invited to attend the Gala Celebration and Dedication Ceremony of the Dr. William F. Weber Performing Arts Center on Thursday, May 1, at Thurston High School at  6:45 p.m. Tickets are required, however tickets are free and will be used to help plan for the event. PaySchools Online Payment System
 PaySchools program allows you to make school-related payments online via e-check or credit card at your convenience. Payments made to Food Services accounts by 12:00 a.m. (midnight) are applied by 11:00 a.m. (before lunch) the following business.

2007 - 2008 Bus Stops
Parents and guardians please,  remind your students to:
be at the bus stop at  least 10 minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive. By working together, we can ensure the safety of your child to-and-from school and maintain the designated bus schedule. Students should know and adhere to the Bus Rules.

Student Assessment and Testing Schedule Information
Are you wondering about the next test your child will be taking.

Are your child's immunizations up to date? 
Parents and guardians of a child enrolling in a school for the first time must submit a certificate showing required immunizations have been given. Updated immunization records must also be submitted to the school office as your child receives additional doses. See the MI Department of Ed.  web site for an immunization schedule.
