The
Commission on Children’s Issues
Offers FREE Parenting Workshop
The Commission on Children’s Issues has designed a series of
free workshops to assist parents and guardians with strategies to improve skills
and recognize cyber bullying.
The
workshop “Keeping Our Children Safe in the Community” is
scheduled for Tuesday January 27, at MacGowan Elementary from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30
p.m. MacGowan Elementary is located at 18255 Kinloch, Redford.

This free workshop includes a light meal
of submarine sandwiches, refreshments and door prizes. Parents and guardians
interested in
attending must register by Wednesday, January 21, at 313-387-2787.
Please register early, as seating is limited for this event. Childcare is
available for children 5-12 years of age. When calling to register, please
include if childcare will be needed, the age and number of children in need of
childcare.

Are your child's immunizations up to
date?
Parents and
guardians of a child enrolling in a
school for the first time must submit a certificate showing required
immunizations have been given.
Updated immunization records must
also be submitted to the school office as your child receives additional doses.
