Summer School Information and
Registration
9th -through 12th grade students may elect a maximum of two courses for the
2008 Summer School Program offered at Thurston High School. Session begins on
Monday, June 30 and classes are scheduled Monday through Thursday. NO Classes on
Friday. Walk in registration at Thurston is available from Monday, June 16 -
Wednesday, June 25, from 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Project Graduation Hosts Car
Wash
This Sunday is Mother’s Day. Are you
seeking the ideal gift? Project
graduation is having a car wash on Sunday, May 11,at
Mayflower Lanes on Plymouth Road, between 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. to get mom’s
car washed. Seniors – we need volunteers
to help with this event! Contact Megan Schulz or just show up to help with
the event.

FUNDING COLLEGE - FIND CASH IN SCHOLARSHIPS
The South Redford Educational Association is awarding $1,000 to a
graduating senior that will be working toward a degree in K-12 education.
Applications are now available in the Counseling Office.
South Redford District Scholarships
offered to seniors who have attended elementary and Pierce. Check the listing of

The South Redford Foundation for
Educational Excellence is awarding one $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior
of the class of 2008. See application for the

Graduation
Thank you to everyone who participated and attended the
Project Graduation Big Boy Fundraiser. The event raised $624.

In April 2006, Governor Granholm signed into law the
Michigan Merit Curriculum. The new graduation requirements will provide
students with a more rigorous curriculum and prepare them for success.
