Yard Sale for Science Team
The Pierce Science Olympiad Team is holding a Yard Sale Saturday, October 4, from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Aldersgate Methodist Church parking lot, on W. Chicago, between Telegraph and Beech Daly. Toys, books, CD's and videos, sports equipment and more. All proceeds go to the Pierce Science Olympiad Team.

Parent Meetings for the 2008 Field Trips
Tuesday, October 14, 6:30 p.m. Washington D.C. meeting will be held in the Media Center, the Toronto Trip meeting will be held in Pierce Gym A, and the Philadelphia meeting will be held in the Pierce Cafeteria. Parents and guardians should be sure to attend these important informational meetings if your child is interested in participating in one of these events.

F.Y.I. Homework If your child was absent and needs to have planner information for the day or specific assignments check out the Pierce Homework web site at the Pierce Homework Assignment Site. Parents, please remind your child when returning to school, after an absence, to check with their teacher about specific questions pertaining to the assignments.

Students will not be allowed to take a test on a book they have read in the past.

Are you wondering about the next test your child will be taking. What is the DIBELS test? What is the PLAN test and when will my child take the test? When is the MEAP test? Are your child's immunizations records up to date?
Parents and guardians of a child enrolling in a school for the first time must submit a certificate showing required immunizations have been given. Updated immunization records must also be submitted to the school office as your child receives additional doses. See the MI Department of Education web site for immunization schedule.
