Kids’ Care Summer Camp Program Registration
Kids’ Care Summer Camp offers a wide variety of fun activities in a safe and clean environment. A special theme is scheduled for each week. Students will be have the opportunity to swim at Thurston, use computers and attend field trips and lots more.  This well-balanced program runs daily beginning June 15 through August 21,  from 7:15 a.m. – 5:45 p.m. at Shear Elementary, 26141 Schoolcraft.  Parents and guardians have the option of registering their children in the Kids’ Care Summer Camp for the entire week or for a few days per week. Grade Level Content Expectation Parent's Guide
A Parent's Guide to Grade Level Content Expectations booklet is intended to give parents an overview of the Grade Level Content Expectations.  It is a  tool to facilitate communication between parents and teachers enabling parents to be a partner in their child's education. Brian Galdes Outstanding Practicing Principal of the Year

Congratulations to Brian Galdes, principal of Fisher Elementary who has been named Outstanding Practicing Principal of the year by Michigan Elementary and Middle School Principal Association, MEMSPA. Mr. Galdes received the recognition and award for Outstanding Practicing Principal of the year on Tuesday, December 2, in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Website to Assist Those Needing Affordable Medical Care 
The Michigan Department of Community Health (MDCH) has developed a Web site offering information to Michigan residents finding low cost or free health care. Visit www.michigan.gov/healthcarehelp  is a tool Michigan residents can use for finding and accessing affordable, quality health care, especially during these current economic conditions.

Parents and guardians new to the district will receive their PIN and Password for Parent Connection through the US Mail later this week. Parents and guardians who have not received, or have forgotten their PIN or Password to Parent Connection can obtain a PIN & Password by showing their ID to the front office secretary. Back-to-School Supply List for 2008-009

PaySchools allows parents and guardians to make school-related payments online via e-check or credit card at your convenience.  Payments made to Food Services accounts by 12:00 a.m. (midnight) are applied by 11:00 a.m. (before lunch) the following business.

Are your child's immunizations up to date? 
 Updated immunization records must also be submitted to the school office as your child receives additional doses. See the MI Department of Education web site for an immunization schedule.

Bus Stops
