Ms. Flesher was re-elected
for second term in the 2008 May election. Cheryl is a
widow with four children and a 22-year resident of the South
Redford. Three of Cheryl's children are
graduates of Thurston High School, two children are college
graduates one from U of M and one from Madonna University.
Cheryl's third child attends Michigan
University, Ann Arbor and, her youngest child is a student at
Thurston High School.

Bruce Mazurowski,

was re-elected to serve a second term in the May 2009
election. Reappointed to the position of Board
Secretary for the 2009 - 2010 school year. B A 37-year Redford resident Bruce is a
Thurston graduate, class of 1979. Bruce and his wife Nadine,
have two daughters, one is a graduate of Thurston and the
other attends Thurston.

Gregory Van Morgan, Trustee
morggr09@southredford.net Greg is currently serving his
fourth year as a Board Trustee. Gregory Van Morgan is an active parent who has coached
basketball and participated in many Redford Community events.
Gregory sought a seat on the South Redford School Board of
Education in the May 2006 election. Greg's goal is to make a
positive difference in the education of all children.

Superintendent's Evaluation, South Redford Foundation for
Educational Excellence, Food Service, Sex Education, and

Steve Baker, Trustee

Steve Baker was appointed to the
South Redford School District Board of Education at the
Special Board meeting of Monday, April 28, 2008, to fill Mr.
Tom Burnosky's seat on the Board until the next election in
May 2009. Mr. Baker won his seat in the May 2009 election
and will serve on the Board for the remainder of Mr.
Burnosky's term. Steve and his wife
Michelle have been residents of South Redford for 12 years.
They have three children. One is a graduate from Thurston High
School.

Evaluation, Sex Education, School Based Health Center, and
Technology.

Elizabeth Kangas was
elected to the Board of Education in the May 2008, election.
She is an active community member and is married and has
eight children.

Goal
1: Working together with the community to build a positive
relationship with the community as measured by the level of
satisfaction with Board performance.
Goal 2: Working together with the Administrative Team
the Board will model a partnership that fosters mutual respect
and collaboration as measured through bi-annual
assessments.
Goal 3: Provide an environment to maximize growth,
citizenship and academic achievement to become a high
performing Board as measured by the System Check Level
III.
