Kids' Care Summer Camp Program will be held at Addams Elementary located at 14025 Berwyn, Redford. The Summer Camp Program is open to all Redford Township or schoolchildren in Kindergarten through the completion of 5th grade. The Summer Camp Program is a full-day camp held Monday through Friday starting on June 21 through August 27, from 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. For additional information and a registration form, see SUMMER CAMP

Vandenberg Official Green School

Vandenberg Receives Green Certification

Congratulations, to Vandenberg Elementary students, staff and parents on becoming an Official Michigan Green School.

Since 2006, over 550 schools have completed the requirements for going green and achieved the Official Michigan Green Schools Certification. This year, 99 schools from Wayne County received the Official Michigan Green Schools Certification and South Redford School District is proud to announce that Jefferson Elementary and Vandenberg Elementary are among the schools to be awarded Official Michigan Green School Certification in 2010.

Teachers Monica Nick, Jefferson Elementary and Sarah Judge, Vandenberg Elementary accepted the Official Green School Certification with student representatives on behalf of their schools Monday, May 3, 2010. Having two official Michigan Green Schools in our district is certainly a point of pride for our schools and community. Congratulations Jefferson and Vandenberg Elementary school communities, students, staff and parents on taking action and helping save energy within our school district and community.
