Board Election Changed to November

The annual May election of the South Redford School District Board of Education has been changed from the regular May date to a November regular election date.  The Board of Education discussed the topic for several months and held a Public Hearing to receive public comments on the topic of changing the election date. At the Special Board of Education meeting of November 23, 2009, the Board adopted the resolution changing its regular election date to a November regular election date to be held in even years and changing Board terms from 4-years to 6-year terms. The adoption of this resolution changes the date of the election and the length of terms in addition to saving the District thousands of dollars annually.
